First time I saw this model, was in a La Redoute catalogue. For those
who don’t know, La Redoute is the largest mail
order company in France and it has established itself in many other countries
too. I used to work in a team correcting the catalogue in different languages and
Caroline de Maigret used to model for a brand from La Redoute called SOFT GREY.
I had the catalogue pages with its photos in my hands all day long and no other
model ever made the same effect on me as CaroIine did. I noticed her straigt
away and used to look forward to see more of her pictures in new catalogues to
come. I didn’t know who she was, I just thought there was something special,
something different about her. She used to smile into the camera whilst playing
around with the décor, you could tell she was having fun. She transmitted so
much happiness and positivity. I was sad when she stopped modelling for La Redoute
and it took me quite a while to understand where this inspirational woman comes
from and who she is. Granddaughter of a Prince and daughter of a Count, Caroline
began her modeling career in 1994. She’s launched
a rock music label called Bonus Tracks Records with her partner Yarol
Poupaud
and set up a publishing company called Yarock Editions where they
produce
soundtracks and music for various ads. Considered a CHANEL muse, in
2011, the
fashion house asked her back on the catwalk, and the fashion industry
since
followed. Oh and she was nominated by the Cesar Academy (the French
Oscars) for
“Best Soundtrack of the Year”. Oh and she's the mum of a
7-year-old cutie-boy. Have a look and let her style combined with her
best accessory, her SMILE, inspire your day!
